Great video! She's going to be a well known economist very soon! One of the reasons Ghana is more peaceful is that the borders are more in line created of where the dominant empire ruled. The Ashanti empire controlled most of what is modern day Ghana, East of Ivory Coast and some of West Togo. The only territory that the Ashanti didn't control was the North of Ghana, which is more Muslim and Gonja & Mossi tribe. The majority of Ghanaians are Christian and the plurality of Ghanaians are Akan, making the nation "relatively" homogenous compared to other African countries. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast has an Akan, Christian South and a Muslin Mande North which is roughly 50-50 which made it historically more tribal.
